What our Guests have said!
We can wax lyrical all we like about White Horse Farm but our guests can probably tell you best about a holiday with us here in Middlemarsh so below are some of the comments from our visitors to our Barn Cottages:

Badgers We had a fantastic stay in Badgers. Lovely rooms, good facilities, a most welcoming cake, tea, egg & milk on arrival. Excellent situation for traveling for walks, houses and sites. Sherborne Castle grounds are a must! Hunters Moon (next door) served excellent food for "meatatarians" & vegetarians - try the steak and ale mushroom & suet pudding good beer and cider too.
Thank you very much – our poodles loved it.

Thank you Suzy & Nick - Oct 2006 ********************* ...The cottages and grounds have got everything you need for a country holiday and M*** our retriever pup was so excited about all the walks she was taken on... All in all both humans and canines had a fab time.

Immaculate cottage, welcoming and very pleasant owners. 5 days of fantastic weather. Would recommend visits to Swanage, Lulworth, Lyme Regis and Poole. Enjoyed lots of walks from Badger's information folder. Thank you for a great week.

Thank you Stuart & Audrey for a lovely holiday - nothing was too much trouble, We will return again some day.

Family of 4 adults plus dogs stayed in Toads this week. Absolutely delighted with all facilities and attention to detail provided! Weather excellent with trips to the coasts and towns every day. This has proved to be a good centre. Son in law particularly impressed that he was able to use hos lap top !!

What a lovely cosy place to bring in the NEW YEAR. Drinks and fireworks at The Hunters Moon lots of fun! The locality is beautiful especially Cerne Abbas and a little further down Corfe Castle & Maiden Castle. Host family very friendly & even supplied us with tearjerker Hardy films. Also very grateful for books. All thoroughly enjoyable.

Ratty's Very nice cottage. Our hosts efforts are to be acknowledged and appreciated - we speak from 25 years of cottage holidays. Ratty's is ideally placed to satisfy the needs of an exuberant border collie and a history bore husband Maiden Castle, Tyneham, Lulworth Cove, Wareham Forest and the Cerne Abbas Giant all feature great walks - as does Hardy's cottage..............We hope holiday makers who follow us into Ratty's have as good a holiday as we have had. Do explore the country lanes! Heather & Steve August 2008 *************************************
Having enjoyed that rare commodity Sunshine we are now returning home with so many happy memories of a very special area of England (a place we've wished to visit for many years). Done all things connected with Thomas Hardy & now wanting to reread all the novels again. Even got to rechalk The Giant (at Cerne Abbas) as volunteers with the National Trust : - superb week!.................. Thank you Jane & Peter September 2008 ********************************************* Moley's A lovely Christmas at Moley's & a relaxing time which is just what we needed. The cottage is very well equipped to do a Christmas dinner & all the trimmings. Hope to come back again
Carol & Reg (+Trixie) December 2007 ********************************************** It has been our custom for many years past to visit Dorset for the Yetminster Village Fair weekend. Hitherto we have stayed for three or four days at dog friendly bed & breakfast establishments. How I wish we had thought to look for White Horse Farm before. The standard of the whole establishment and the facilities would not disgrace a five star hotel. We have walked, travelled on a steam train to Swanage, caught uup with valued friends who joined us for lunch at the Hunters Moon........... This has been a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable week. We were impressed from the first time we logged into White Horse Farm website. We hope to return again and again. Many thanks

On arrival we were both made extremely welcome, the cottage was very homely and clean. We have enjoyed our visit to this amazing place called Dorset and met some fantastic people.......Weymouth is also very good with a brilliant beach which the dogs loved We visited the Hunters Moon and the Rose & Crown pubs and both were extremely friendly, food excellent and dog friendly too! We are sure when we visit Dorset in future years that this is where we will stay. Best wishes
