Lyme Regis

Unspoilt seaside town hemmed in by hills. It is a narrow tangle of streets and shops leading down to the harbour with its famous Cobb, a curving stone wall made famous by the film The French Lieutenant’s Woman. Golden Cap, east of the town is one of the highest points on the south coast at 626 feet. Sandy beach with safe bathing. No dogs May to end of September.
