The 17th century Castle was built as a hunting lodge and has been the seat of the Weld family since 1641. In 1929 the Castle was tragically ravaged by fire and it lay in ruins until its restoration by English Heritage. It is now full of surprises with many special events, and animal farm, riddles, games and puzzles to fascinate people of all ages No dogs allowed.
