Dogs Allowed
1 mile south west of Dorchester on Maiden castle road off the B3147 (Weymouth road). This hill fort dating from 350BC, is the largest in Britain and was brutally conquered by the Romans. There are giant 60ft earth ramparts with a two-mile walk around edge. Dogs allowed on leads.
